a few shots of Pa this weekend, hope to send some of the neighbors potato planter soon, should be some intresting pictures,he has an old jd potato planter, and pulls it with an oliver, I helped him get the ground ready, and bought some yukon gold ,and Katahdin seed potatoes, and he is going to plant 2 rows for my family,it works out real well.,he has a potato digger too, Some of the pictures are of our garden plot being tilled ,some are of the potato patch, and some of spots for sweet corn, I help the neighbor with the sweet corn too,and he always lets us pick all we want for my family,to eat and freeze, Hope to be sending pictures soon of his 2 row corn planter,he pulls it with his oliver super 88,
The last picture is a strip of garden I planted for the neighbors grandma,so she can ride up the the lane in her riding lawnmower and get what she needs,I planted some potatoes early for her she digs some each day when they get ready, Thet are pa dutch, and eat potatoes at every meal, She just turned 80 and since my mom is gone, she is like a second mother to me.

I'm pretty sure the old Ford is smiling in those pictures, probably so glad to be out of winter storage and doing what it likes to do....WORK!

Hope you can enjoy this Mothers Day, even though you lost your Mom recently. Mine has been gone 6 years now and my wife lost her Mom last year. So we are going to do the next best thing. First church, and then over to my Dad's house (he's 89 now) to grill some burgers and then make some strawberry shortcake for desert!

Nice pics. Nice to see blue in front of a plow for a change. Lots of them did their job and get little credit these days.

I have 3 tractors and 2 are blue: '63 2000D 4 sp tranny pto, '65 3000D 6 sp, live pto 1 set of remotes.

Both are part of the farming chores and helped with the prep for the hay field; spraying, discing and harrowing. Fine little simple machines.

Nice looking tractor and plow doing a good job.

Always enjoy your photos; thanks for sharing them with us.

Even though we are partial to green and yellow tractors, our one blue and grey tractor is the one we can't do without.

I agree with Allan, knowing your area of NJ, I like you could not wait to get away from work down there, and get home, 'cept my path was straight north, there was always some beautiful areas in west NJ, eastern PA etc., where you are, I'd have anxiety problems wanting to get away from work to be at a place like that LOL !!

The value of a single bottom plow and 2000 size tractor is the fact that just having one bottom, gives you more seat time LOL ! Thats a good thing as you're not working large acreage, just those smaller garden strips, in a leisurely fashion on a picture perfect day, takes the work right out of the equation, well maybe planting, but you have to get out of the seat eventually.

This looks like the relaxing way of playing in the dirt. Kind of a shame progress has made this a thing of the past for most.

Enjoyed the pictures. If your tractor fails, we would be happy to gas up OLD UGLY and come down to give you a hand. LOL. swell pictures. Regards, LOU.

Ground looks pretty dry. Is here too in northern Indiana. Is starting to scare me. We need lots more rain. This is way too early for it to be this dry.
