Hiatal Hernia? I have been having heart burn and stomach issues for awhile. Finally found out it is gallbladder, it comes out this coming Thursday, I can't wait.
 
Prilosec...one in the morning and it's good all day. Sam's club..or in a drugstore over the counter.
 
Used to happen to me all the time 10 or so years ago. Went to the gastroenterologist who said I had "Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach).
This irritates the esophagus and narrows it causing swallowing problems
Started me on Prilosec which controls stomach acid.
Have been taking either Prilosec or nnalert or the generic equivalent for 10 years now.
Must be a common ailment as Prilosec was at one time the world's leading prescription drug (it is now over the counter).
It is important to see the doctor as the irritated area can also be pre-cancerous.
 
Probably a Hiatal Hernia. I have one and stuff gets stuck some time and I think I will never get it loose. I have particular problems with raw carrots and apples. You need to see a doctor though.
 
Had the same problem for years. Took prilosec and zantac usually helped. Have a hernia. Last fall pain got so bad and didn't go away. Went to the Doctor sent me for sonigram. called me later that evening said had me scheduled to see a surgeon that evening. Bad gallblader with gall stones. had it taken out. Haven't had any problem since. Still take the prilosec though
 
Get yourself to the doctor asap,My dad had the same thing going on.Went and got checked out and found cancer of the stomache.Layed him to rest one year later after going through a operation,radiation,chemo.Survival rate very low.He's been gone twenty one years.I still miss him.Scott
 
I had an upper GI with VA but had to cancel. Will get it rescheduled. VA appointments on time just calling to make 1 a pain.
