How to register a username? I cant find it.

go to modern view and there will be a red box toward the top right corner with some things in it. Click on register and join the modern world. If you fill out the profile, folks won't have to ask where you're at... (except the hard headed ones in the classic view rut).....

You might still have to make a dozen or more posts before they will let you post a picture or link. They do that to keep out the spammers and scammers.
I think if you email admin they will change that setting for you and allow you to post pics, etc earlier though.

Dave this is a OLD tractor site. So don't be surprised if we don't like "new" things. LOL
I mainly use the Classic side. I much prefer the way it keeps the comments in the reverse order that they are posted in. I also like being able to comment to a particular comment and it stays with that comment. The Modern View puts all the comments in the order they are posted in. So if you respond to a comment it is posted away from that comment.
I do like being able to look at all of my postings on the modern view. So like I said I use both. I usually only post on the Classic side.
So Dave don't corrupt the new guys. Let them chose what they like.
Seriously I would not spend as much time on here if it was modern view only. I don't like how it does not keep the posts or comments in order. So if there is some thing you want to go back to it can be real hard to find in the modern view if it has not been posted to recently.

Dave the quote tab just reprints the original comment. I guess it is for you young guys that can't remember what they read one post up. LOL
The search feature on YT is not very user friendly and is a real PIA to use. You can search for hours to find something posted just a few weeks ago. Plus I am usually just looking at things a few days after. I can go back a few pages in the Classic view and find it really easy. In modern with the search feature you may find it quickly or it maybe like a snipe hunt.

I don't think I'd be on here that much either without classic view. The order always changes on modern view depending on when it last got a reply and on longer threads it has multiple pages. Annoying to say the least. One of the few good things is the the ability to know where someone is from if they chose to enter it and being able to edit your posts.

Registering can be done in classic and modern view. You become registered simply by giving your name a password.(Which you've already done)
