Want to cover up the skylights in the barn

I have a horse barn that has skylights in the metal roof. It was open in the center aisle and the light was nice. Now I have installed a hay loft over the center aisle that covers up the skylights. The skylights are bleaching the hay and the loft is hot. I want to cover them up. What would be a good spray paint or such that I could use to no longer have light passing thru?

Any good exterior house paint that is made to go in they type of material should work just fine. The help cut down on the heat I would use a white paint

The skylight is a polymer of some sort so I would start with Krylon [trademark] for plastic. I believe the trade name is 'fusion'. Per an different thread, a light color will reflect more and add less heat load to the loft.

Might be worth your while to remove the plastic panels and replace them with steel panels. Most of the roofs I've seen over the years that have metal downstream from the plastic are usually rusty.

I'd replace them with metal panels. After about 35 years mine aged and got really brittle. Didn't realize how bad until one day I was working in the barn an noticed rain coming thru at the other end. One of them blew off in a storm that day. Not much fun replacing one when it's 35 F and raining, do it now when you can. Since then I've replaced all of them but one and it's due soon.
