What is this falling from the sky

Finally started to rain about 4am this morning in southern Michigan it may be to late though. I just hope I can salvage some corn out of the 50 acres I put in. I have never bought crop insurance and really never needed it. Luckily I have low over head and a full time job to keep me a float.

Just finished putting up 2nd cutting on Tuesday which was a quarter of what we got on 1st but it was all blossomed out and with the rain 3rd should get a good start.

Us too. About 25 miles SW of Grand Rapids, Michigan. According to radar, we should see rain all morning. Might spread urea on the stuff that's still okay. Can't hurt.

Our rain started about 4:00am, radar looks like it will continue for quite a while yet. Looks like we got over an inch already. We haven't had an inch of rain at one time since late April. My beans are standing straighter already.

I have over 50 acres of corn that I think I will hit with the brush hog. no crop insurance, no job...

I'm hoping that the other crops and the 40 acres I have looking good will carry me through.

"tempted and tried we're oft made to wonder, why it should be thus, all the day long... While there are others living among us, never molested, though in the wrong..."

Farther along we'll know all about it it, farther along, we'll understand why...

Hope you get all that you need. I know you guys need it as bad as we do here in Texas. Been raining off and on for the last two weeks. Not a lot,but we will take what we can get.

Ralph. I am in Centerville on I-45. Half way between Dallas and Houston. Just north of Huntsville.I think we have had about seven inches in the last two weeks. Not much but a lot better than last year.

Bush hogging corn? only do it if it'll cost more to
harvest that you'll get (minimize loss) If it's that
bad some cattle person might pay you so they can
chop it (if forage is that short) or at least chop
it for the taking, cheaper then buying your own fuel
to hogg it. Or trade them manure for corn if your
wanting the nutrients
