It looks like the lander "Curiosity" has safely touched town on Mars.
This is the biggest and best of Gold Medals for America.

I hadn't looked for an update yet this morning. I'm glad it was successful. They used a new landing technique that used a tether rather than the usual parachutes.

Yea, congratulations to NASA. We had the Viking program land on Mars way back July of 1976 and was operational until it died in 1982 by human error. Imagine the egg on their face of this one had failed.

Just like the moon landing, did not occur. Only difference, better computer generated cartoons.

2 billion dollars to put a junk car on a dead planet? 953 homeless people in a city here.1 in 5 children go to bed hungry in the richest county here. grandsons friend cant get a cosigner for loan for a second year of college because the bank foreclosed on her home.
