Don't forget to go and VOTE

I voted last week. They send us the ballots in the mail; we fill them in and mail them back. Don't even have to put on postage.

We have the same setup- some wondered if the oldsters in nursing homes would vote, but it turns out that there are plenty of organizations whose volunteers are willing to go "help" them. Mostly labor unions, I understand.

Makes the whole broughaha about voter ID a pretty big joke- here in Washington, we have no idea who is voting, and apparently, no one in charge cares.

Mike,

Unfortunately, I think that the people in charge do care. A few years ago, one of the major political parties staged a big "get-out-the-vote" effort here in Tennessee.

Among their many initiatives, they went to the state mental hospital in Chattanooga (Moccassin Bend) and "helped" all of the people who were unable to register first, and then cast their absentee ballots later.

They all cared.

Don't matter who or what you cast your vote for.
No one represents the people who voted them into office anymore . The special intrest, lobbyist or super pac will buy and control thier every vote to benifit them !!! But I will still cast my vote so at least I can B#$h an raise #ell anyway!!

I did. Had to come home and take a bath in alcohol and scrub with steel wool afterwards though.
Never thought I'd see the day that I have to vote nnalert in the primary, but the incumbant township supervisor is a dem,no nnalert was running against him,but the local drug gang is trying to take over township government and is running their candidates on the nnalert ballot of course. So the winner today will likely be the supervisor. The ones they're running for the board will face nnalert incumbants in the general,so I just left those blank on the ballot.

Thanks for reminding me.
It amazing to me all the folks that say "VOTE FOR ME" and they place ads in the local paper and put up signs all over the fricken place. They do this for a job and to get the really good fringe benefits of being in office.
The lady that gave me my ballot said "now dont forget this is a primary and you cannot split the ticket" I said, I have never voted for a jackazz before and I never will. She laughed and handed me the ballot.

What really bothers me is that my Dad voted a straight GOP ticket all his life here in SD. He died 25 years ago and ever since he has been voting nnalert in Cook county, IL.

Simple the worthless one that is not in office that way you can find out for sure if he is worthless or not. Then you just vote him out the next time
