picked up an older prime mover skid steer, and finally found a manual on line for the unit. according to the manual, it says to use class s.e or s.f. 10w40 hydraulic and hydrostatic oil only in the system. the previous owner ran hytran in it. the skidder uses a sunstrand sauer 18 seriespump. i called around to a couple places, napa ect and they dont have a listing for this oil. any ideas?

Hy-tran will work fine, most of the older skidsteers used it as factory fill. It is a 20w based oil with additives.Same thing as universal tractor fluid, which is readily available at most farm stores and NAPA

I think hydraulic oil #32 or hydraulic transmissin fluid,HTF. (not dextron AT fluid)will be OK
