Brother brought this home not long ago. Thought I would post it here and see how many if any know what it is.
If you guess correct, there will be a prize. A big old kiss on the lips from Dave2. Sorry, you have to find your own way to Germany!
Brand, model and year of manufacture. You will get a second kiss if you know the month of manufacture too!

Looks like an <a href="http://images.businessweek.com/ss/08/11/1111_defunct_auto_brands/9.htm">Essex</a>.

If I'm right, I withdraw from the contest.

Last thing I want is a big old kiss on the lips from Dave2.

Looks something like the '25 Hudson my grand-dad owned when he was a young man...from the photos I saw of it. Radiator surround makes me think it's either Hudson or--as James said--an Essex, which was built by Hudson.

Might be anywhere from a '25 to a '27 or so, though...I'm not good on distinguishing between the years of the cars of the 20's.

You are correct, but only in the fact that your Esex looks a lot like it. BUT it's not an Essex nor a Hudson.

Or at least close enough! Great answer, and no I won't hold you to the lip smacking with Dave....lucky you!

Here is what it is:
1929 Dodge Standard Six.
It was built in October 1928.
An interesting fact:
Chrysler bought Dodge Bros in July '28.

Close, but we already got a correct answer....or at least one close enough.
1929 Dodge Standard Six, built October 1928.

I don't know where my post went I don't see it here I first said it was 1928 but it is a 1929 chrysler model B I beleive

Was gonna say 1927 Dodge Brothers because I had one in 1960 or so. Never finished car. Buddy had great idea since we needed time to work on it-quit his job, devote all time to car. Then for more time I quit my job. Now no money. Project fails. Garage rental takes all money and car is sold in pieces. Michigan. Dave

is the extension on the rear for the trunk factory, or it that aftermarket, and made to fit several car models, just curious as it looks darker colored then the chassis, unless it was protected thru the years, and i see several different holes in the side pieces too,

I know the answer has done been given, but I will make my official guess as a 1972 Ford Mustang lol. That will ensure I can play but not win.

Couple days ago I was going to say--1928 DeSoto. Reason being, back in the late '40's an older brother of mine had just that. Interesting thing about that car that impressed me was---Wood wheels on that car, but it had hydraulic brakes.
