Serial Number on 8N Ford

I'm having trouble finding the serial number on my 8N Ford. I thought it was on the left side of hte engine block? Any thoughts?

Should be on the left side just below the head about center. There is a flat spot there but if the block was replaced at some time the numbers may not have been stamped on like they should have been

As said, left side of the engine block, right below the head there is a flat spot.
Lightly stamped in, capital I for a one, lower case "b" for a 6.
Should start with 8N... for an 8N block.

If the block was ever replaced easy to do or a remaned engine put in all serial number data for your tractor is now gone.

Attached I hope is a picture of what I"ve found so far on the 8N Ford serial number. I need to do some more work but the family story always had it that Grandpa bought the tractor new in 1951. From what I can see so far it looks like the tractor was built in 1950.
