43rd Annual Steam Show & Fall Festival Days • September 28, 29, & 30, 2012 * South Jacksonville, Illinois

This year's featured tractor is John Deere (because it is 175 years of John Deere). I usually go and shop the flea market, check out the rows of antique tractors all nicely restored (and take plenty of pictures to post here), and to watch the antique tractor pull. I shot some video of the tractor pull last year, and I hope to again this year, and I'll drop the link in below:

I"m in Springfield. Thanks in advance for taking pictures. I have minor outpatient surgery on the 27th so I can"t get near dusty conditions :-(

No problem; will do my best to take pictures and video of the event and get them up as quickly as possible. Just hope it doesn't rain out!

(quoted from post at 06:50:04 09/19/12) I'm planning on attending with my Oliver 77 and maybe bring my 75 mower

(quoted from post at 22:25:20 09/18/12) Yes I will be there all 3 days, I'll have my grandpas JD 620 he bought new.

Very cool on both you guys; maybe I'll run into you there. I'm sure I'll be wearing a bright orange AC logo hat.

Would like to go, but very little info on the web site. Any idea on the pulling classes/rules? How much plowing is done- it it worth bringing a plow?

Eh, the pulling is more for fun than strict competition. I think they have several weight classes they run, and it's all low gear, and as for plowing... I don't think it'd be worth it to bring one, myself.

Sorry I don't have more info -- never have looked into it. You may have luck e-mailing this address for more though:
