HI Guys

plowed with the WD45 a couple of weeks ago, 3 point worked
perfectly, tried this morning and it will not lift any load. It will go
up if there is no load on it but as soon as I even stand on it all
motion stops. the only difference is that it is colder out but I
dont believe this is the problem because I messed with it long
enough to get the whole housing nice and warm with no
improvement. Any thoughts? appreciate any help.

Dan

Are you sure if it full of fluid??? I have seen the hyds on a WD45 do just as yours are doing because if being low on fluid. Also there is a knob on the system that may have gotten moved which will cause odd problems

fluid was low so i filled it up and worked the air out of the system but still no lifting pressure. which knob are you talking about?

There is a knob down on the hyd unit about the size of a dime in diameter and it controls flow and all and if it gets moved causes odd problems. With out going out and looking at my WD45 I can not explain any better

There is pressure, but it is very low. According to traction pressure gauge, less than one half of pressure is being produced.

You got a manual? The knob Old is talking about is most likely your problem. Sometimes they just vibrate out of position.

I assume you hear the pump making the normal clicking..???
You "messed with it" to get it working this time..??
Hope you didn't change many settings...

The rear "transfer Valve" under the seat should make no difference unless you are using a Semi-Mounted plow..
The "Screw" on the Front, Top portion of the pump should be screwed out all the way..
The only other "Screws" are the one that "Separates the Plates" and the one that "Screws into the Body" (or out)..I believe that screw should be screwed into the dimple of the transmission housing and the plates separated.. for Weight transfer..
This is purely from memory, but I am sure these are the only settings to worry about..
Have you looked at the linkage from the Hydraulic Lever, down to the Hydraulic Pump, to see if anything has Slipped..???

Ron..

I don't know about using the "traction Booster" gauge to determine lifting pressure..
Whit the Hydraulics set for "Weight Transfer", it is sensitive to the Pull on the Drawbar by way of pressure (and compression ) of that large Spring above the Drawbar..
The Hydraulics should lift, no matter what though..
I used to have some trouble lifting a 4x14 Fully Mounted plow sometimes..but I figured it was just over-loading the system..but Never with a 3x14" or 4x14 Semi-Mount...

Re-check your fluid level..
Have there been "Quick-Connects" installed in the lines to the rear lift-arm cylinders..??
Could one of them be giving you some flow troubles..??
Ron..

One place to check if you have not, is to remove the drain plug from the bottom of the pump (engine NOT running) and let any sediment or moisture drain out...

Ron..

You should also place your request over on the Allis forum since someone over there may have had the same problem. Hal
