My Amish butcher came down from Pennsyltucky today with his driver to do some hunting. Got a phone call from them at dark to come pick them up, and the driver's eight point. Not a huge rack, about three years old, 130 lbs.

That's a three pointer out here on the west coast. We only one side and not the eye guards.
Nice deer though we have Jack-a-lopes out here in Oregon.

What can I say, I love Tractors and enjoy the folks here, but I tend to be on the Deer's side of the fence...If you did'nt have your big bad gun, well you know...

Plant a crop, Harvest a Deer. Pretty simple! In MN, we have to purchase a deer license though. Everyone that smokes a deer past my place gets them free, with a car repair bill. Oh well.

Then stop eating entirely. For one thing to live, something else must die. People with your attitude just simply can't grasp they are part of the circle of life, just like the deer. Someday the worms will be eating you.

The amish have about a twenty mile travel range in a buggy. When they go further, there are drivers for hire to take them, like 'rusted nuts'. In this case, the amish butcher has become a friend of mine, and was invited down to hunt. Both of them hunt, and I welcome them to help thin our herd of deer out.
