I didnt find a serial # break, but I know its recorded becaues I just studied it,I think Nebraska Cowman gave me info on it.I goggled 1936 F20 pictures and found several with the 35 bolsters. The 35 bolster took the place of the earlyer duck bills and were supose to be a easier steering. This is usally the first thing I look for when I approach a F20,It tells me the aprox. age

Jimmy,

Thanks so much for the additional info!

I will copy/paste it all for my husband. And we will do a little reading too. Thought it was weird that the entire front end had been replaced with a 35 when the s.n. on the frame rail indicates a 36.

The 36 model year began on Nov. 1 1935, and they didn't change to the castle top until sometime in January, 1936. So if his f-20 is an early enough 36 model, it should have the round top steering cover. And if he does want to change it, he can just change the top, not the whole bolster.

RegulaRog,

Will have to go out this weekend and look at the serial number and the bolster numbers.

I posted about this in the past, it has a castle top - we were told it should be round. Right now, cannot remember the numbers - nor which number is which - but serial number and bolster part number indicate differing years.

Thanks for the additional info.

SweetFeet,I did some reading,I beleive the last # was 41123 to have used the 35 front bolster which was the end of January
