Deutz-Allis questions

I'm looking at a D-A 6275. My questions are:
How is parts support and by who? AGCO?
Any good or bad reports? All input is welcome!

We have a Deutz dealer in our town here. So parts for us are not hard to come by, plus they have a bone yard as well. They are an Agco hay equipment dealer as well Deutz also has a website for the US. My buddies dad just bought a 6275 last year, and so far it has been good for them. It was completely gone through before they bought it, all new seals and the sorts, so it was in real nice shape.

I had a D-A compact utility tractor and finish mower.
Both supported through the local AGCO dealer.
No problem getting what few parts I ever needed.
Traded it for a bigger tractor.

I bought two Deutz-Allis 6275s brand new. I wish I still had the last one. They started very well and ran cooler. I mainly used it for draw bar type stuff: square baler, mower conditioner ,etc. The operator station was much cooler than the JD 2640 I had before. The two I had where equipped with two floor mounted gear shifters for ranges and real low selections. Then they had a column shifter just like the old three on the tree shifters. This gave you reverse and three different forward speeds. Plus they where all synchronized. Made it great for road travel. Take off shifting it just like a car.

The only negative things on the tractor. 1) The Selective control levers are too low to reach easily. 2) The three point hitch geometry does not match up to some US made stuff very well. I had a JD set of 3-16 plows they just did not lift correctly when on this model. 3) They did not turn quite as short as a 75 horse power tractor should have.

All in all though I really like them both. I bought the first one with only 65 hours on it with new warranty. I kept it two years and a neighbor like it so I sold it to him. I bought a brand new one then. I had it 2 or 3 years and sold it to another friend. I had check and they had been still available. So I ordered a new one. While I was waiting on the tractor Duetz-Allis sold out to Agco. They canceled the order and wanted to replace it with a Same painted Agco colors. I told them to go jump of a bridge.
