This one is for all you old car buffs.
Just bought this trailer and the guy said this is built on an old front axel of a Ford. (Kingpins are welded so wheels don't turn)
Anyone know for sure and perhaps what year?

Most likely a 1939, perhaps 1938. Not a 1932 or before and not a 1940 or later. Would know more if photo showed wheel without the hubcap.

If the hubs have the large bolt pattern, with the bolts closer to the outside of the hub,it's 1936 through 1939. In 1940 ford went back to the smaller five on five and a half bolt pattern.

33 and 34 had spoke wheels. The hub caps are 37 but the axle could be 28 to 48.wheel bearings were the same.Ford tractors often have 36/39 wheels on front.Let farmers use a 600x16 tire.

i agree,36-39 ford front axle.looks like they may have taken the rear springs and made new hangers for them, and made pads for the axle. i have one very similar, without the springs, i use behind my tractor when building fence. on mine the trailer frame is right on the axle.
