I'm in the middle of a big, expensive bathroom remodel. Probably gonna hit close to $40K before it's all done.
I got to work this morning and the lady of the house handed this to me.
And get this:
She ordered it online and it didn't arrive in time for Christmas.
So she APOLOGIZED for giving it to me late!
Hey, no problem...
They don't even celebrate Christmas - different religion.
$100 gift card.
Pretty nice!

It is refreshing to work for good people.Most of the time I get stuck with the uneducated builder that has sprung up in the last decade or so.Have to tell them the process step for step and do some of the material ordering for them.

I had never gotten a gift card before,but my daughter got me a $40 one from TSC this year. I went and got myself a new pair of rubber boots and a good pair of insulated gloves today. Maybe NOW I'm finally done Christmas shopping.

Guy I work for always gives a bonus at CHRISTMAS, his wife gave me gift cards totaling $125, gas card, restaurants, etc because I do stuff around the house. She says she appreciates it. Nice to hear THAT too.

I fixed a 260Z just before Christmas for a man who stopped by the next day with a bottle of 15year old Pinch Scotch Whiskey. I was happy. Jim

I don't get a bonus but work for a great guy. I only work in the Winter running a Cat loader/4yard bucket mostly for Snow work. (it Pays for heat and taxes for the year) He pays me well Never questions my time and always thanks me for helping out.

I like big tippers

I learned early to accept Tips and never offend someone by declining their tip...
I offended a guy one time by turning down his tip... That will never happen again...
When someone offers ya a reward that means you are special are have done something special,,, I bet they get their big tip back somewhere while doing that job...

Folks don't give money away unless they feel you earned it... I bet they feel better than you... Thanks for sharing I'm happy for ya...

That must be some bathroom I had a huge porch built(16'X40'),had a metal roof put on the porch and the rest of the house,plus some other misc around the house this past Summer and it was $17,000.

That is a nice gift. I have had a few times over the years where folks would give a tip I never was one to turn it down. Some times you meet the nicest people not always but every now and then. Mostly I like a good referral.
