Glad I missed it

Earlier today, I put up a post wishing everyone a happy new year, and hopefully an overall better year than 2012. I see it went poof. For the majority of you, I still wish you a happy new year. I hope whoever got the post deleted is real proud of themselves.

Uh....Let's see...? OK There was this record drought and heat wave.... From there, just think about what all appeared on the 6 o'clock news in the past 365 days. Need more?

All years have good and bad, I think the 30s were tougher than last year drought wise. I broke even farming. If you are healthy and have good friends and family, what more can you ask for.

Well, I wasn't here for the '30's so they aren't on my radar.

I agree about family/friends/health, but I'm always hopefull for BETTER years for all of us.

I did OK on the farm this year. Not as good as 2011, but better than a lot of years.

Mostly, I'm concerned about where we're going instead of where we've been.

May GOD bless and take care of all of us, even those who don't believe in HIS power.

Poof probably involved an event which happened in November which most of us aren't too happy about.

I was there for 6 years of the 30's - and sure don't want to go back there. There were still a few homeless walking by our farm in the last couple of years of the 30's, looking for work or a handout.

All depends where you are, N MN had a very good year for the farmers. Most of the loggers are doing OK, although the one paper mill that used to buy some balsam closed down, that's not good.
