I wondered where the morning coffee crowd was going since the resturant in town closed a week and a half ago. I'd seen the neighbor was still coming and going at the same time every morning. I guess the VFW has opened up for morning coffee. Said they want to keep a sense of community. Glad somebody did. The snowbirds will have a place to go now when they come back from Florida.

That's good news,rr. I'm glad that some post are doing something positive like wanting to keep a sense of community. Our local post that both my father and I helped start and also served as post commanders has turned into a honkytonk. I never go there anymore.

Iam a life member of the VFW post her in AZ, I
quit going as all that goes are a bunch of old drunks . You can only listen to their war stories a couple of times & you can recite them by memory. Also its a smoking VFW , I don t want to tell them I prefer nonsmoking as they are entiled to do what they please as they put in their time , so I elect not to go.
