Broken Brace

Hi, not sure what it is called, but on my 47 VAC, there is a brace under the motor that the front end connects too with a pin, well I broke it, need a name of part and where I may find it.

Could a good weld shop patch it back together?

Not sure as it is Cast, I will still need the pin, I couldn t find it, but may go look again.

Go ask on the case forum, there are lots of people there who will help. A picture of what you have will help since there were many variations of the v series over the years.

That could be it, as the 2 braces from the front end connect to it with a Pin

use to be called a wishbone on old cars.

Should be cast steel, that can be welded .

Ps. if it is the wishbone then you can weld any pin, bolt to it, long as you get it lined up right.

it is the bracket that the wishbone connects too with the pivot pin
