jubilee hydr problems

having problems at first the hydr. system was a little jerky so, i took the top cover off.i cleaned everything and replaced o rings just like in the video.i cranked it up and the lift goes up and then will not come down until i turn the engine off then i can move it up and down freely.i checked the metal dowel pi an its fine.i have no control over the lift.everything looked right by the video.any suggestions please help.

Sounds like you did not get the control rod hooked up correctly. Or the valve is stuck so it goes up and not down

obviously im not an expert in other words im lost.which valve the one with the rod linkage,the one in the middle with the knock out plug,or the one with the ball

I would start with the one that the control you move to make it go up and down and then go from there. I do not know that system well but I do know it is not much different then the 8N and BTDT with the N series tractors and easy to get things in wrong when you set the cover back down

if it's like the N series the control valve is spring loaded in one direction and if it's sticky it won't come back to neutral, i've been there and they are a SOB to get right..good luck
