Seed tender/ feed tender??

I assume a guy can grind feed and then store it in a seed tender, should I be concerned about storing and feeding grain out of a tender that has hauled treated seed? How long could you expect ground corn to store in a tender without spoilage in 60 and under weather? Also this tender has the brushes, would this be a problem storing feed in it for say 30 day periods?

When the wife had a few pigs and chickens, we would run some corn and roasted soybeans(separately) through an old hammer mill. To discourage rodents we got a few metal garbage pails and stored the ground feed in them. We would grind about every 6 weeks. We never lost any.

I find storing ground feed longer than 2 weeks becomes a
bother. As well ground stuff tends to settle and bridge, if you
are using a little every day but it might want to set up a bit if its
in a tender and not moving for a spell?

Feed typically has salt in it, might have an effect on a seed
tender?

Wash off the tender, and you should be good. Some of the
treated seed can not be fed or added in to the feed chain, so
I'd not want to just ignore that....

A brush auger will not work to well on ground corn. One other thought....do you have a gravity wagon? That would work better, or find a bulk bin with agitation in it.

Are you putting feed in a brand spanking new tender or one that has had seed in? If so, I wouldn't use it. Tell me how you feel after you put water in an antifreeze jug and drink it the next day.
If seeds are treated with insecticides or herbicides the trailer is contaminated. I wouldn't eat out of it, nor will my animals.

You could possibly wash it down and it be alright. I don't know that for a fact though. If it were mine though I wouldn't put the feed in it. In the back of my mine it would bug me as to wheather or not it is going to hurt my cattle when they eat it after comming out of that tender.
