OT..Crazyness in New Orleans

Don't think I would care to be there. Reminds me of a video I saw from there several years back. A group of girls were standing on the balcony of a building flashing the people below, and the police couldn't do much because by the time they got upstairs to the balcony, the girls would have been gone.
 
Was there once at age 19 and once at 34! Don't think at 71 I could take it again.I know one thing,DON'T mess with N.O. cops during Mardi Gras time!!!
 
Its not for everyone but if someone likes it then have at it.And if you don't like it just stay home.Could be worse things to go to like maybe a religious get together in India where the stampeed killed around 40 folks lots more dangerous than the running of the bulls in Spain.
 
Marilyn and I will be there the first week in March. We could have planned to be there right now but neither one of us has a wild side though it'd be fun to see at least one time. Jim
 
I made it there when I was 21, what a great party. They did warn you to stay on the main drag, Bourbon St. area. Saw a lot of interesting characters for sure. That was half the fun.

Probably would go again, but don't think it would be as fun at 43.

Religious holiday, Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday.
Time to eat all the rich food in the house in preparation for fasting during Lent. At least that's my understanding.

I also understand the Mobile, AL, Mardi Gras is older than the NOLA one.

Saved the students from University of Southern Mississippi on Sunday from what I heard. Was told no one was hurt during that tornado as that is where they all went for the weekend. I would like to go there once.
 


Would you want your daughters drunked up and flashing people?

I did my best to drink the world dry at one point. Now I just look at the drunks and druggies and wonder what they're thinking. It's sheer stupidity.
