plowing snow

Plowed some snow today. Thought I would post the picture of my snow plowing tractor. This is the third winter on it. I used to plow with a WD45 Allis with a snow bucket. What a difference, I enjoy seeing it snow now. The wind does not matter a bit. I don't get cold now that I have a heated cab. As you can see I can push snow if I'm coming or going. I think this has got to be the perfect size snow removal tractor.

What size is the tractor? We have a JD4600 with a loader with a 6' material bucket. I have a blade on the back but it's mostly for weight, I use it for cleaning up when I am done making a mess with the loader. I have always thought about a 7' blade on the front like yours would work great. How wide are your blades?

The tractor is a 4320 (48 HP), the blade is 84 inches, it's really nice because it has the power angle so you can angle it on the go. We also have the bucket but there is no comparison to how much faster you can push snow. I do not use chains and do not have fluid in the tires. I haven't had any problems in 4-wheel drive pushing snow.

Did you buy that new?
I would love to buy a machine like that, Way over my budget though.

That is a super nice setup, Do you plow snow for some extra money?
