We left Ireland on thursday 21st for our week long tour of the British Isles, our main aim was to attend the Friends of Ferguson Heritage AGM in Devon, England. This is the 3rd such tour and we look at tractor collections and points of interest as we go. We had cold and snowy weather predicted, which is unusual for this time of year but as you see from the first photo it was still nice and green as we travelled through Wales. Our first visit was to an MF main dealer in Shropshire.....
As you can see this is a predominately livestock area and the equipment in the Depot reflects this. I have to cater for all ages and types of farmers when planning these trips and the dealers yards suit the younger and more progressive farmers and contractors/custom operators among my party of 50 people.
Keep watching as I have many more photos to load over the next few weeks. I should have pictures to suit all tastes that should give you some insight into how we live, farm and collect over here!
For our first night , we stayed in the Hilton Hotel, Tewkesbury.

Sam very interesting photos, hard for us USA types to see tractor with front PTO and hitch. Massey is not won of the leading tractors here in the states seems they can just not get things together. Keep up the good work.

I was just wondering how your trip went when I scrolled down and saw your thread. Keep the pics coming, I should have gone too.

Most interesting! I had never heard of a front PTO until someone below mentioned it, sounds like a good idea to me! Scrolling down through all the large equipment, it was almost comical when suddenly I came upon the riding mowers and lawn tractors. And I see you stayed in the big house with my name on it! Thanks for the photos, I will look forward to more.

Sam, at Tewkesbury, you are awful close to my old neck of the woods, before i moved to the Canadian prairies... went to school in Gloucester (Kings, filmed some of the Harry Potter movies there), and lived at Ross on Wye, one of my best friends from uni still farms across the rivers from Tewkesbury... it's a small world
