Give me Strength!

So,

Last fall, I worked for 3 days tryin' to bust loose the wedge lock on my 1066 because a wheel had walked out on the axle. Finally just gave up, tightened 'er down and left the goofy thing.

Yesterday, getting ready for this years' field work and notice that the wheel is now slid completely in on the axle almost to the bearing retainer.

Note To Self: Loosen the damned things, tighten it back up and use the tractor. They will bust loose. :>)

A warning. If its like the 986 wedges don't borrow that special wrench and break it. They are very, very hard to find. I am now the proud owner of a heavy impact socket from Snap-on. Took a long punch and drove the inside wedge out to get it loose.

That's what I thought when I loosened the clamps on the front axle on my Oliver 1600 with the loader on it. Been about 13 years now that they've run loose. Still hasn't broke loose so I can slide them in.
