anyone collect old Kubota tractors ? I just bought a 71 or 72 Kubota L200 tractor. 2 cyl. die. 2 wheel drive about 20 pto hp. head lights are in the fenders. ugly little tractor, but cute, original paint and tires. its been kept inside all its life. I"ve never seen one before. thought I had to have it, even if it not a CASE.(almost the right color)

My friend that ownes the local CNH dealership, aquired one. He wanted me to repaint it so he could desplay it as part o Kubota's 40th aniversery celibration and promotion. He showed me the tractor, and I told him it was too nice to ruin with new paint. The only flaw it had was the blue paint in the stamped metal medalions was partiall pealing and they had a little rust on the chrome edges. They waxed it up and applied some Brasso to the name plates, and it looked great setting next to a new one.

I saw an old one in the showroom at the Kubota dealer last week. They will probably become a collector item. Still a lot of prejudice against them by people that think JD is made in USA. Kubota is really the one responsible for the advent of the modern compact tractor though and actually the only one made in the USA (Georgia) now. I have a little B1750 4w drive Hydro that I will put up against anybody’s mule or tractor. I bought it new in 89 after lots of research. I also have a industrial JD,2005 wish I had bought a Kubota. I repented later and bought a Kubota diesel mower.
