Last week my Ho was in the shop for AC, fuel starvation issues, thrown code (Check Engine Soon). Was some bad junk in fuel.
Got it out and all was well for 8 days until noon today at Menards and no crank, Just a click. Lots of power to windows, lights, fan, etc.
Shop that did the work came and got it with a repo wrecker, a mile away. I got the loaner , shopped, had a beer, went back. No Cost. Told me Battery cable loose.
Correct me if I am wrong, their previous work Mandated disconnecting the battery didn't it?
He tried to make me feel it was somehow my fault. But I just picked up the repair manual from the front seat and he said " Just take it home".

You tell me if it was mandated..

I don't understand the complaint it cost you nuttin...

It cost someone he ate it was this mandated...

I think he sucked it up and ate it maybe he thought he should have caught it and gave you the benefit of the doubt...

I would call are stop by and thank him for his honesty believe me it will go along ways....

Are he could have sold you a starter and a tow..

I think it was a good catch (loose GM double stacked battery cable end P.O.S.) at least someone their was codependent enuff
to catch it to stop the bleeding from both party's...

Almost all service procedures start with Disconnect the negative battery cable (not those exact words). So yes, if they were diagnosing fuel starvation they may have had the battery disconnected.

My opinion.

What year? I never had a problem with the side terminal battery connections, but my 07 had gone back to top post and I had that happen a couple of times

If all the accessories worked, it's possible that it was loose at the starter, which wouldn't have been their fault. Those trucks have an 8 or 10 gauge wire feeding the fuse box and a seperate larger wire feeding the starter, so the starter may not work but the accesories would be fine.
