float level

I have a Zenith carb. #A66Z C1836, british made, on my 3414 International loader tractor. How do I set the float level on it? It drips raw gas into the oil pan while running. I have cleaned it out and all gaskets seem to be tight.

Hello Darold Smith,

I would check and see if the float has gas in it.
You can set the float height even/horizontal with the housing it is in. Make sure it is not binding, and the needle and seat are holding.

The float has no gas in it, is the housing marked as to where the top of the float should be? The gas drips slowly into the carb throat at an idle is this normal? The needle seems to be holding ok.
Thanks for getting back to me.

Check and see if the housing has a crack in it. I am finding that more often. The ethanol attracts water/moisture. Then in real cold weather any water that has collected in the bowl will freeze. Then you have a cracked housing.
