While I commend your bracket why build it??? The tiller has a three point on it. Just lift it with the tractor and use a floor jack under the rotor. Jack stands under the hood.

The seal could have been repaired in the time it took you to make the lift bracket.

I guess I am used to doing the job keeping in mind the labor charge is by the hour. I have made jigs and brackets for heavy stuff but a three point tiller is not that heavy.

Considering my mud dubber welding,it would be safer using a come-a -long to hoist it on a dead tree limb.

eave him alone! Just a fellow with a lot of HIS time to spend however he wishes. You others, do it your way....that is what I do!

It looks as if you can work at a comfortable height, doing it this way. I would appreciate that, as I have back and knee problems, getting up and down from the floor gets harder the older I get. Keeps all the parts off the floor, too. Phil

sounds like the time you all spent whining about how he did it and the time it took, you have to much time on your hands too.....looks good to me and might be used for other projects....kudos

It took about an hour to make the device which I can use on other impliments. I don't like to lay on the concrete, I am 78 yrs old, hurts my bones. I am replacing the tines, they are worn out.

I was not running your brackets down. I reread what I posted and see it may have came across that way. I was wondering why you built them. Your explanation makes a lot of sense. I hope I can still do repairs when I am 78 years old. At 63 I am finding out very well what you are talking about on positions and mobility.

I like your idea, would work great for moving around other equipment too, just wondering about the safety factor of working under it....do you have a way to add a protection if the hydraulics would fail?
