What kind of Case is this?

Hi guys it's Bryce. I have had this Case for a little over a year and am finally starting to do something with it. Here is what I have been told that it is: VA, VAC-13, VAC-14, VAO ( without sheet metal ), and a few more that I have ruled out. It does have the adjustable wide front. I personally think that it is a VAC-14, but not sure!!!! If so, are they good tractors? And also, does anyone know how many of them were made? I know they made about 150,000 of the VAC series, but I don't know for the individual style it's self. It does not have the eagle hitch on it, just a little bit of a home made deal-e-o that I have since taken off. I think that the belt pulley hydro pump on the right side, and cylinder on the left is correct, but that all of the junk that was hooked on it was not! Anyway, let me know what you guys think, any info, pics, or anything else would be really appreciated!! Thanks, Bryce

Not a case guy, but I own two VAC's. Its a VAC with adj. WFE. A VAC-14 was later and did not have the steering like that and had a tubular axle. I am trying to restore one just like that but am missing a key piece from the front axle.

According to my book its a VA the axle is forward if it was VA14 the axle would be set back to shorten the length of the tractor for shorter turns.
there were 17500 VA's made.

Didn't even think to look at the tag.... VAC 5264528 Went to external_link and it says that it is a 1948 ( which I knew from the owner ). Just another question, what color were the rims on these things? I have seen some that are the same color, orange, and some that are like an aluminum finish, kinda like a silver, I honestly prefer the silver, but would like to know what was original. THANKS!! Bryce

It is a Case VAC, with the adjustable wide front axle. VAO's And 14's had the short steering column and seat close to the tranny. VA's had many designations, depending on how they were built. See copy of dealer price list. Rims should be silver. Scroll to Case forum. there are pics of a newly resrored VAC NF posted yesterday.
