These two charecters showed up last week. No one seems to claim them. Our farm runs up to the edge of town, and they have been in town, and have been chased around and showed up back here again. The AI breeder was in , and told my son that this pair of rouges where hanging around a farm about 7 miles west of me, but they where not theirs. Kinda funny to whatch, and have gotten very coy about folks getting too close. And it seems that dairy cow fence will not hold a goat, any more than it wiill hold a Deer. Bruce

Any fence that water can get through, then a goat will get through it also!.....Good luck! They look well covered in barbeque sauce (by the way)

I have cows, and SWMBO wanted some goats, so we got four some years back. Yup- you can't keep them in anywhere, and you can't keep them out of anything. They were fun to watch, but a PITA to keep....

They aren't that hard to keep in. Paige wire works, electronet works even better.

Those particular animals are not goats. Those are pests. If they become too much of a pain turn the dogs loose, the goats will leave in full after burner.

I once had a short-time neighbor who brought home a couple of goats and turned them loose - no fence whatever. First place they went was our yard and the billy would hook those horns on the trunk of a Japanese Maple tree and act like he wanted to destroy it. Electric fence wouldn't faze them. The owner thought they were "cute" - she was the horsey type - and next thing I knew, she had eight goats. They'd cr@p on the porch - well - you get the picture. I politely said they had to go, and she sent them somewhere. Not the same place I was gonna send them.

When the kids were little the wife thought a couple goats would be fun to have in our back yard. They ate everything in sight. When they started on the tree bark. That's when they had to go. We've had pigs, calfs, horses, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, even a emu. Still have her. The goats were the worst. Stan

Must be 25 years of having goats. I don't find them at all hard to fence anymore and I love the milk.

To each their own I guess!

Just change them from your PITA definition to my PITA definition. :>)

Oops, sorry. I hate it when I'm interrupted when I'm typing, because I make stupid mistakes.

Should read: . . . your PITA definition for my PETA definition.

PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals .
