Gasoline Filter

Anyone have the part number for the pleated paper type gas filter that will fit in the tall sediment bowl?
I saw one this weekend on a G JD, man said it came from NAPA auto parts, but he didn't have a part number or the box it came in. Thanks.

If I had your 'problem',I would go talk to my friendly NAPA man.I would bet he could figure it out....That is if he didn't already know it!

For a gravity-flow fuel system, it"s hard to beat the original glass bowl and brass screen.

SAVE yourself a lot of aggravation and maintain the original system good order and NO WORRIES!

In my notes I have this filter listed for the fuel bowl. I can not find it right now but wix also made a screen filter. That fit really nice on the tank inlet fitting for you glass bowl. If the link does not work look for wix filter # 33039.

I second the just maintain the original system and you'll be fine. I never had good luck trying to add in-line or extra fuel filters on my gravity flow systems.

Thanks for the part number. I found 1 of those in the sediment bowl of a tractor I bought. It was plugged and I couldn't get the part number, thought it was a great idea.

I've seen those in several sizes, or heights,
my 63 IH 3/4 ton pickup had one, also saw one in
an AC fuel pump bowl, and on a 1965 IH Scout 4 cyl
as OEM equipment.
NAPA's "Fuel Filter Interchange & Product Numeric
Catalog" has drawings,(pictures) of all of their
filters, and demensions, and items 3943,3051,3044
look like what you may be searching for.
