hunters or shooters

I have about 35 acres that is in a remote area of my farm that is not easy to access. My neighbor has three deer stands that overlook my land, I know he is using them to hunt my property, just wondering if there is a way to keep him from hunting my land without permission,I would not give him my permission, because he he is one that knows it all. He once told me how honest he was as I had a business dealing with him that was all talk and no substance on his part. Bad feelings.

I had some "city" slickers Hunting just off my property line, I could watch them from my dinning room table. I went to town and bought a salt block (white) and put it on a stump right on the line. By law in Indiana you cannot hunt a certain distance from a "baited" area. They moved further down the line. I am on a first name basis with the local Conservation officer.
Wish you luck! joe

i know how you feel, my neighbour built a stand about 6 ft onto his property... and the only window out of the shack is overlooking my land... if he asks permission i might say yes, but if he don't i might have a quiet word with the conservation officers...

I forgot to add a game camera (well hidden) might help. Or make it very obvious as a deterrent.

Some people fro saint Louis bought the place next to me, seem like decent people. they asked about hunting on me, I told them them if they were on their property, and got a chance for a shot on me, take it, but I didn't want a pararde of four wheelers running around on my property. Has worked good the last two years.

Paint a blue ring around your trees along the property line and post it clearly. And, if you really want to screw up any shooting he might have, place a bunch of old CD's strung up on monofilament fishing line throughout the area along his line. Any deer will steer clear of the area because the reflections from the CD's spooks the hail out of them.

My neighbor has 2500 acres around my parents and me. He put up these no tresspassing/ hunting signs along the property line and the rest of his placeabout every 75 foot and they are at least 18" by 24". He said it was because of insurance reasons. They even glow in the dark. They would hunt right on the line and finall they have pay hunters and his insurance told him they had to be out of sight of neighboring property so they quit.

Guy bought the 40 next to me and tried telling me I couldn't be in the woods near the property line during deer season because "they might shoot across the property line and didn't want to hit anyone". I told him that I was retired Army, a guy that trained for 20 years that the very first reaction to receiving fire was to return fire and that he shouldn't shoot across the property line because I didn't want to hit anyone. Somehow he don't like me much. Imagine that! Here it is illegal to shoot across property lines.
