1720 hydraulic lift

Got a ford 1720 who's lift works ok when first starting out. After using for awhile bushhogging the lift won't lift or when I raise the lever for it to lift it'll lift after a few minutes in the up position. Any idea what may be wrong. Been thinking about changing fluid and filter to see if that corrects it.

Kind of sounds like it is low of fluid, changing fluid and filter is probably a real good start.

There is a strainer thats clogged up. Find suction follow back under step. Be a big nut and behind it round plate with 4 bolts, oil will drain out, most all real fast. Could also be cup on lift piston, its under seat the plate with knob in center.
