I think Bob made the comment because you missed an O in your subject line. In other words if you wanted Samn40 to email you the subject should say SHOOT me an email instead of SHOT me an email, indicating he had already done so.

"Shot me an e mail" is past tense, he sent it to you already

"Shoot me an e mail" is a request to send one in the future
