Owatonna skid steer

Shopping for a small skidsteer and I'm finding Owatonnas that are small enough and priced right. It won;t be used much so gas is OK. Are all Owatonna's hydraulic drive? Any design flaws or waeknesses? Any BAD experiences?

Carl,
I believe these use Onan engines, not 100% sure though. If it does, I would shy away. Onan parts are very hard to find if at all engine wise anymore, at least that is what I was told when looking for my first small skid loader. My first little skid loader was a 371 Melroe Bobcat with a 16hp Kohler engine. Great little machine, just too small for my needs for cattle.
Hope this helps some. Good luck to you.

Yup, onan engines. Not saying to buy one or not but a lot of early John deere skid loaders were made by owatana and the exact same machine. After 20 years with our 330 owatana a head gasket went last winter. Went to the local deere dealer and they had a new head gasket for less than $20 two days later. Most parts are available through any jd dealer.
