New Workplace Tractor Vibration Rules

While reading this I thought it was a spoof. I'm still not sure. Are people really that goofy? TDF

Not meaning to make this political, but it probably is. Health "concerns" are the reasons sighted for this regulation. Ultimately, if everyone has to pay for the farmer's "injuries" (socialized medicine being what it is in Europe), I'm sure they feel entitled to keep farmers "safe". It is no different then the regulations they are putting on what foods are allowed to be eaten and in what quantities. Yet another attempt to legislate safety and health. This is the same road we are on here. I hope folks wake up soon.

You''d be amazed at some of the regulatios place on equipment being used/made/whatever in Eurpoe...The leaders over there actually do seem to think they know better than anyone else, including industry experts (ie-those that actually work in the industries being regulated, etc)..........The higher ups, kings, rulers, or whatever you want to call them 'RULING' he people was one of the reasons our Forefathers came to these shores.....Saddly our current higher ups, rulers, etc have been slowely taking the same stance, and the people have laid down for along time and said nothing. Now, the whole deal going on in DC is at least starting to send a small message to those in charge that we are tired of their BS....They took our freedoms a little at a time, hopefully we can take them all back......eventually if not sooner....

Here in WI, it is legal to pass in a NO PASS ZONE if the vehicle you are passing is doing less than half the posted speed limit. The article stated that it is primarily aimed at allowing people to pass farm equipment that is on the roadway. Obviously some one has complained about farmers to our legislators and they are trying to appease their constituents instead of telling them to sit down and shut up because the farmers have the right to use the roads too. If you want to be re elected you need to keep the complainers, most of which are to self absorbed, happy.

A big difference is they don't have the same number of lawsuits.
Doesn't take many lawsuits to end up with anti-vibe and chain
brake on chainsaws, a ban on 3 wheelers, ground wires on cords
etc in the US. Elsewhere tends to regulate from the gov rather than
the courts.
