Isuzu Eng issue

I have a C240-QD-60 SO a 60 HP eng with a Kiki
injector pump on it, THe issue is that after running
it for a while it shuts down, this is in a portable
air compressor, when it starts to bog down I put it
at low idol it clears out then if I let it idle for
a few min it kicks back up to full operation till
the next time, it seems to be a fuel issue, I"ve
drained the main tank and the water separator
several times and the filter only has 30 hrs on it,
I"m thinking lift pump... any ideas???

Does it have a lift pump? I've got three Isuzu's here and none have lift pumps. The Diesel-Kiki Bosch-clone rotary/distributor injection pump has its own built in lift-pump that draws fuel from the tank. I had trouble twice like you describe and it was diesel-bacteria plugging up the fuel screen inside the fuel tank. But that was with a C223 Isuzu in my little pickup truck. Your rig may not have a screen in the tank. I'm not sure if you've got the rotary or in-line pump. C240s came with either.

Is the return line clear. If it clogs up it can stop the engine. Line clogs,fuel backs up stops the flow into the pump.

Also check the fuel tank breather.

If it is a Kiki/Zexel inline check the inlet line banjo bolt at the supply pump, most have a screen in that bolt too that may be plugged.
