I was tired last night and went to bed about 9:00
Woke up about 5:00 this morning.
Now I see we were supposed to change the clocks last night and I actually woke up at 6:00
Does that mean I got an extra hour of sleep?
It doesn't feel like it...

If you woke up at 5 and hadn't changed your clock,it was actually 4,so go back to bed and get your extra sleep.

We had our time change last weekend, body has not got used to it yet!! What a silly thing to do? I have a few antique clocks and you just cannot push them back an hour....some were only restarted again today!!
Sam

Ours has been open since Aug.15 and I have not been yet. My brother has taken 6 deer and 4 hogs.

I is proven that it saves a lot of energy and is much safer for children going to school. The evenings get so much longer is what bothers me. My grandfather never did accept it!

My Dad was another old stubborn hold out. Couldn't change his clock he said because he was supposed to take his pills at the same time each day, and if he changed the clock it would be a different time. LOL.

I deal with the time change, but still get up the same PART of the day, but then think I have to work until dark. Wasn't going to start moving dirt until noon today, so thought about sleeping in. NOT.

All my clocks are suppose to change the time by themselves with the world clock; (cell phone; night stand alarm; wall clock)

I needed to get up at 5 to go next store and get my grandson so my daughter could go to work.

Wouldn't you know it the only clock that did not change by itself overnight was my alarm clock. Dang thing woke me up at 4 am a hour early.

I hate the time change. Working a good amount of hours during the week, I hate getting home in the dark and trying to get outside work done. Makes Saturday and Sunday all that more valuable.

From this day on I look forward to the winter solstice (Dec 21), then I know from there each day I get a little more daylight in the evening.

Rick

True enough, but if it's any consolation our earliest sunset happens in early December. From then on we only loose daylight from a later sunrise.

Ultradog ,
Bubba uses the time change as a reminder to change the air in his truck tires. He replaces the spring time air with fall air. Claims he gets better traction in the winter by changing the air.
George

He should wait until December 20.

Winter air is heavier and he will get even better traction.

Dean

Well, 2 am is when Bubba and Bubbie was changing air in tires. That's when the bar's closed.

Some modern clocks, atomic clocks, change the time for you.

George:

Actually that's quite logical, because Cold air is heavier because the molecules are closer together.

LOL!

Come to think of it, Bubba changes air on New Year's and 4th of July. One time he was so drunk he used a gun to let the air out.

This means the clocks in my truck and basement are correct and all the other clocks are an hour fast.
