crazy inventions

Do any of you think up crazy azz inventions while operating your equipment? I hook and unhook hoses for my grapple fork probably 6 times a day. With bad knees and a bad back it gets to be a real chore.I keep thiking that it would be pretty cool to have some type a remote to control the grapple with out the hooking and unhooking of the hoses,or maybe even some kind of helmet you could put on and your thought process would be "OPEN GRAPPLE" and shazam the thing opens. Or another idea I had would be some kind of laser gun you carry with on your tactor and you come up to a rock .shoot it with the laser and it ends up being a pile of dime sized stones. Any one else have any cazy ideas ?

Yes, an arm that would quickly reach out and pluck up a rock and put it in the rock wagon when I look at it. Your idea of a rock vaporizer is better. Jim

Guys, i workrd on a state of the "art" firehouse with the latest tech. stuff.
Guy that runs it, hits a code comming in the parking lot, and as he's getting out of his car, the firetruck disconnects all the accecories attached to it, start it and as her pulls out, the garage door opens and the exhaust pipe disconnects. Immpressive @ 1,000,000.00$. Cheers!

Dale, do you need a few? I have four semi-loads of these sedimentary, volcanic, and maybe extra-terrestrial gems on the feed floor south of the barn. They're probably at least two million years old so that makes them the oldest and most valuable antique collection in Buena Vista county?

They're hand picked by me and I know my rocks so I only choose the most solid ones. The rocks I don't pick in the spring and summer are collected up in the rock trap of the combine every fall but I don't keep them in the big pile. Too many dings in them from rough handling. Can't devalue the big pile with them so they go to the scratch and dent pile out on the creek bank.

I've had thoughts of hiring Larry on the Corner to use them to build me a shrine for all of the cultivator shovels, plow shares, chisel plow shanks, sickle guards, combine cylinder bars and chopper knives that have met their fate while making intimate contact with these ancient prehistoric orbs. Whew! better quit before I come up with any more ideas!! LOL Jim

(quoted from post at 23:57:35 11/05/13) Here you go, from Horst Welding. Automatically connects the hoses on a quickattach setup.

Only $4400, plus $628 for the coupler for each additional attachment. Ouch.

HLA hydraulic couplers
Thanks Rick, not sure about the OP, but my knees and back are feeling better already!

Rocks 2 Million years old, definitely "Antiques",
should be able to sell them on E-Bay or Craig's
List, lots of Rockhounds out there. Remember the
"Pet Rock" fad a few years ago . . . .

LOL, Doc

That is a pricy piece for sure. At that rate you
can almost setup another used skidsteer with your
2nd attachment.
Assume somebody is buying them or they wouldn't make
them.
Rick
