firing order for a oliver combine on the distributor

It should be 1-5-3-6-2-4. This should be true for all Oliver six cylinder inline engines. It should be on the side of the block too.

You should bring No1 piston to tdc on the compression stroke and note the direction the rotor turns so your plug wires are in the correct firing order on the cap. Hal
PS: They may be in the correct firing order that's been suggested.
 
Not all sixes are 153624! I had a 1956 Jaguar XK 140M In the manual, the firing order was listed as 624153. It was timed to #6 cylinder and they counted from the firewall as #1 and the front cylinder was #6 Why???

Why?Because it's a Jaguar. thats why!

ctually, they are the same. Just number assignments differ, but physical position of cylinder in engine & the sequence of cylinder firing is the same.
