Yep been cold here in Florida. had last 4 nights below freezing nights , this morning 35 get a break tonight then back in the mid 20's for lows this week. Fields have needed frost covers on and greenhouses have been heated at night. Ready for spring myself. Still lot better weather then what you northern snow lovers are getting. Stay warm!

During the winter of '57-'58, I was in Jacksonville when it snowed in Jax for the first time in 11 years.

Less than an inch of wet snow that was gone by the middle of the next morning, but everywhere you went the next day, people would ask, "Did you get up last night to watch it snow?"

Being from Nebraska, my response was, "Anytime I get out of a warm bed at 3am to watch it snow, that will be the day!"

But, you gotta figure there were 12-14 year old kids who had never seen snow.

I saw ice in Florida around the first of June several years ago.
It wuz on a bridge not to fur from the Wildwood truck stop.
There vas this straight truck hauling ice and it overturned on the bridge spilling the load of ice.
I told people on the CB to vatch oat fur ice on bridge,I don't think many believed me till they came upon the seen.

We had two big snows to hit the mid Atlantic in 1958. We lost power for over a week on the second snow that was wet. Hal
PS: They calling for snow to hit this area on Tuesday into Wed then turn cold.
