Nice looking truck, but I'd never start one of my diesels in this weather with out plugging them in! How you keep that trucks body in such good shape?????? Not real rusty. What year is it? I'm thinking early 90s if I remember right, but I don't know much about dodge trucks.

My 92 Dodge with a 5.9 will start instantly at near zero - even if I don't use the grid-heater that tells me to wait . Starts too fast since oil pressure takes awhile to show up. I chalk it up to lower compression (then my Ford or Chevy diesels have), one BIG battery and direct injection.

Same goes for my Deere 300B with the 152 diesel. Last time I started it at 10 degrees F - it blew the cap off the hydraulic filter and broke that 1/2" bolt right in half.

Jay, my guess is he doesn't live anywhere near this state of high salt use. Of course the bridges aren't falling apart from the salt like ours are either.
My last car came outa South Carolina rust free and in 2 yrs it had a bunch of rust and in 6 yrs it wouldn't pass inspection cause of rust out. It was a 95 Toyota puddle jumper that got almost 40 MPG with todays garbage gas. Got rid of it this past fall

It started this morning ar 1.I never plug it in. I live in Southern Il. It has drove on a lot of salt. Just never wash it so hasn't rusted so bad. :) I think a 5.9 Cummins will go down as one of the best motors ever built. Wish I had it in my Ford.
