After 3 enjoyable hours pushing snow with the Ford 860, and a half hour of not-so-enjoyable clean up with the snow blower, I snapped this picture yesterday morning....that 40 mph wind can still make for some beautiful snow sculptures.

that is a piece of history that some of us will never see again ---WHAT AN AMAZING SENCE ////// THANK YOU--LEE

Beautiful Picture. That's what the lower part of SC looks like except for the snow, and pine limbs instead of corn stalks.

that picture brings back some memories.
when we lived on my grandpa's farm near Thompson Il. there was an old bachelor that would make corn shocks every year.
he milked his cows by hand, used horses for power, no electric in buildings.
i think all the buildings have been gone for a long time.

8n'r----That's an absolutely beautiful picture!!

The photos I'm posting were taken Feb 19, 1949 on my 16th birthday---going to the county seat to get my driver's license. These pics were taken between Albion and Newman Grove, NE on the old State Hwy 45.

For your efforts, they should have just given you the license, rather than having you take a test.....but, then again, maybe tests were not mandatory then.
