Rural King Opinions

Was looking for parts for my king kutter tiller, and rural king sight comes up. total for all the new tiller tines came to about 336 dollars. On the king kutter site, the same parts come up to 442 dollars. So I will find out how good rural king is. The 6' tiller is used behind my MF135

I love our Rural King. Anything that I have bought and didn't like was taken back without a word. The just wanted to know if it was defective or I just didn't want it. I bought the wrong hay rake teeth the last time I took something back.

I ordered bearing sets from Rural King for my KK finish mower last fall and had them in about 4 days. And cheaper than if I ordered them direct from KK too as I recall. It was all good.

I buy quite a bit of stuff there, good prices, good service. Wife likes their canning supplies and clothing. I have bought lots of oil, filters, etc. and tools. Been satisfied with all of it.

Glad to read these opinions about Rural King. They are putting a store in the nearest town. Never shopped at one locally. Only been in one a couple of times.

We have one 3o miles away. It has large selection of items but very low quantity of any one item. We have a Big R 20 miles away and not as large of a selection but keeps a good quantity of what they have.

We always go to Rural King when in Owensboro, KY visiting friends. Look forward to going to the new one they built. I would love to have one here near us. TSC would go out of business in a week. It is a joke to try to get help in TSC. Called recently about a ORC for a Ford tractor and the employee never did figure out what I was talking about even after I described it to them.

Needed a PTO shaft for my FIL's brush-hog and checked out the closest Trasher Supply Company. They wanted $189 for it. Also had been waiting for some equipment yellow paint (when they carried the good stuff Valspar)and they still didn't have it after being out for 3 weeks. I decided to drive south to the neighboring town and found the exact PTO there for $139. It was a Thursday evening and at checkout the gal knocked off another 10% because she said it was senior citizen day. So $189 down to $125. I completely gave up on TSC about 4 years ago. There is another Rural King north that is a BIG "R" Rural King which I understand is a different company/ownership. They are higher priced but have full service tire, tillage parts, Stihl parts and service and generally better quality merchandise. They operate more like an old fashioned hardware store and still have clerks on the sales floor and are helpful and friendly.

I been pretty happy with what the local Rural King stocks, and their prices, and seem like happy help, even had store manager make arrangements for the following day, when I called ahead and gave him my word by phone.
Not only do they have a lot of whats needed in stock at good prices, but I've also noticed they are hiring some pretty cute girls these days, kinda makes goin to town a little better when there's some sight seein once there, haha.
I like F&F, TSC, Big R, and Rural King.
If they were all next to each other you could get anything you need. Except I still ain't figured out how to get one of them cute cashiers, Wife probably get mad if I brought one home anyways, Danny
