1964 Massey Ferguson 65

Well, I said I wouldn't but this one isn't too far from me and looks fairly decent for the current price. Anything out of the ordinary for this model tractor? Parts availability, etc.... Never had any experience with a MF.

mf 65 are nice little tractor, i have 2 hi clearance syles pre multi power. parts are readily available thru dealer or online. alot of info on the massey ferguson forum on the 65. good luck

26 " tires are really rare & hard to get. Factories only make them once every 5 years & after 2 years they are sold out & you may wait 3 years til new tires are made. That tire size was introduced many years ago & dropped soon afterwards. Maybe he means 28" tires; I think that is more likely.

I have four of them...can't be beat for a small workhorse. Two multi two W/O, 3 diesels 1 gas. All of them pre 64 as far as I know!

I'll put money on the tire size being 28, not 26. Just be aware that's a gasser, good tractor just a a bit thirsty compared to a diesel.

Go over tractor good, he has a couple of bad reviews you can read. To good of a price, I gave 4000 with no power steering for my mf65, so be careful. They are very good tractors.

My mf65 rear tires are 28 inch tires.

Good tractor, that is a great price, wish it was close to me and I would own it (if really as advertised). Gas is great in the winter, easy to start for small jobs. Good power, I baled 1000 squares with one last year, NH276 baler and 18 foot wagon on some steep hills. Check the brakes, very expensive or time consumming to repair.
