What is this Called ?

What is the correct name for this ? Was told it came off of an old John Deere plow. About 48 inches wide. Thanks, Rich

 
Well, as a kid in Michigan, we called it a "spike tooth harrow". Dad had a 3 or 4 section unit that we used to haul behind a disk harrow to help break up the clods after plowing.
 
Spiked tooth harrow. As it is only 3 rows deep and small,
perhaps it was attached to the rear of some other tillage
implement I stead of being its own harrow all by itself.

Common behind a field cultivator, they also can be behind a
disk, and I have seen a very few behind a plow I guess.

Its a spike toothed harrow and I would love to own it for use with my garden tractor.

If you leave out in the pasture until it gets overgrown, then drive over it, you will come up with a number of new names for it.
 
Growing up in NE Nebraska, called it a spiked-tooth harrow and we used it after plowing to bust up clods. We had several 4 section harrows , all the sections were connected to a pipe and from the pipe there were long rods that went from 4 spots on the pipe to a clevis that hooked to the tractor. Dad also found another use for one of them . He flipped one upside down and used it to catch the kids tearing up his hay field . Stopped them about 10 feet from the harrow.
