Value of a Cub Cadet 108

Hi,
I recently obtained a new lawn mower and need to sell my current one. It is a 1971 (according to the serial number) International Harvester Cub Cadet 108. I had read that it could be worth $200-$400. Is that an accurate value or would it be something different.

Thank You,

What condition? How does it run? what attachments with it? Rear PTO? What kind of tires? Weights? Chains? Brinley hitch? Hydraulics? Lights? If it runs and is complete with a deck that isn't all rusted out $200 seems a little low. Most I see are advertised for $500 and up, saw a roller the other day (no motor) and the guy was asking $200. I'm wondering what was an upgrade from an early Cub Cadet, I can't think of much, the tractors were built like tanks and a K series Kohler is good for 3000 + hours. Heck my 1964 Cub 70 mows better than the Wheel Horse 525-H I have, I've taken to leaving the snow blower and cab on the Wheel Horse and mowing with the Cub.

If you've got room to store the old Cub, might want to hold on to it for a while. See how you and the new one get along for a couple years!

My son sold a 108 with a blower and good deck last spring for $350. It was in very nice shape but the deck drive clutch was slipping. I also sold a 112 with a rough blower and good deck that was in fair condition for $300 last spring. So I think the $200-$400 is about right.

your going to want to keep the old cub if it still works, my experience, in about 2 or 3 years the new one will be worn completly out, [ unless you stepped up to a sub compact tractor] and you'll be back on that old cub
