electric fuel shut off

thinking about adding a electric shut off to my fuel line on my farmall 350.it would be powered by the key switch.power off no fuel flow.it seems simple enough.gas being $4 gal. I don't want to risk a stcking float/needle valve.do you guys think it would work.i know I can shut off the sediment bowl.but who thinks about that all the time.

Excellent idea. I have three of them. My Oliver 1600,77 and I just put one on my 500 a few weeks ago. I just hooked to one side of the coil on the 1600 and 77.
I got the last one from Amazon. It wasn't the same as the other two. It had 3/8ths pipe thread inlet and out. I had to use adapters. Then the rubber swelled a little and it wasn't opening far enough. I had to open it up and shorten the plunger a little. I wish I had shopped a little more before I bought it. If you don't have one yet, just Google electric fuel shutoff. You'll get a bunch of hits.
The one in the picture is on the 77. It's just like the one on the 1600. I haven't had a minutes trouble with either one of those.

I think this was the last one I used. I get the impression that when it said gas,it meant natural gas or LP,not gasoline. It's OK now,but like I said, the rubber swelled. I wouldn't recommend it.

that's exactly what I want to do.just wondering about flow on a gravity feed system.i was looking at them on amazon myself.it seems fool proof and would pay foritself. in saved gas.

You'll think about it if you find your tank dry a few times. Took the line apart trying to find a plugged line when it turned out to be the ignition switch. Now can't get it to not leak. The switch problem was not all the time. Found out it turned OFF when the key was turned all the way to ON. Have to back it up a little. Ford Jubilee if it helps anyone else. I've heard of one other.

Did it to a Ford with gravity fuel delivery. Worked great. Ordered it from the auto supply, universal 12v fuel valve for gas or diesel.

I've had one on my Oliver 880 for over fifteen years. Went to a forklift dealer. Said it was for LP. Haven't had a problem yet. Hooked it to the coil where the wire from the ign switch bolts on.

I have looked off and on for one, the price seems to be around 50.00. I am still looking.
